A story of an abusive relationship

Intoxicated love

Dancing on the lows and highs
Of our intoxicated love
Addicted to the euphoric feeling

I can’t imagine my life without you
And you can’t keep it a secret
That without you I would be nothing

Drowning between the lies
I become so desperate for air
I cling on to anyone I can find

If not you, who would ever love me
Those words ring inside my head
As I can only scream in fear

Am I truly worth nothing more
Than your abuse
Nothing more than your destructive heart

Mia Terra, born in May 1999, comes from Antwerp, Belgium. When she was small, she made up stories with her foster grandmother about the old statues inside the house. Her love for telling stories continued when Mia learned to write them down and with the encouragement of a few teachers. After she went through a difficult period, she started to write poems. This helped her cope with her closed and insecure nature. She finds a way to share her thoughts and emotions with her poetry and stories.
