Waar gaat het boek over?

This book is a tribute to my eventful life to date, and shares my daily musings and life lessons. Hence giving Meaning to life itself.

Often in life, I have wished I had wisdom in my pocket, then I lacked wisdom most; made the biggest mistakes and took wrong turns. Eventually, as with many other lucky souls, I have grown older and (a bit) wiser.
It was never a smooth ride, but most importantly I learned. The most difficult for me has been to accept feedback and advice from others. For that reason, I am particularly grateful to my wife and loved ones, who have supported me unconditionally throughout.
Loving to express myself and my feelings, this book shares my musings and life lessons. My most valuable realization, is that life is all about placing the right content in the appropriate context, hence giving Meaning to what we do.

Over de auteur

Nelson Rodrigues Monteiro is the second son of a Dutch mother and Portuguese father. After a vibrant school period he joined the Red Barets of the Dutch Army and had multiple missions during his five years of Service. Subsequently after gaining a degree in European Studies and Languages he has built a career in Supply Chain and Operations. He lives in the Hague with his second wife and two own and three bonus children. In addition to sports, he has a strong passion for travelling, photography, drawing and writing. This book is a tribute to his eventful life to date.
