Samenvatting

Two friends find themselves trapped in a magical world. But do they have what it takes to save Elkalla?

The lives of Tommy and Steve get turned upside down one day as World War III breaks out! All the young people are evacuated from the cities and taken to safe locations. This is how the two friends meet the mysterious professor. The professor conducts research into other worlds. Helping him with his research, the boys find themselves transported to a new world. Elkalla, the magical land where the boys end up, is a vast desert. They meet Leonardus, who explains to them that Elkalla was not always like this. A prophecy speaks of two heroes from another world who will defeat Elkalla’s enemy and restore everything to its former glory. The boys embark on an extraordinary adventure but still they doubt if they really are the heroes Elkalla needs.

Over de auteur

Arne D’Hondt, born on September 19th, 1999, started writing short stories in 2011. His teacher shared these with his classmates. Their enthusiasm motivated him to continue writing. He kept writing and participated in the local junior journalist competition for the first time in 2012, where he achieved third place. A year later, in 2013, he entered the Davidsfonds competition again. This time, he won the local competition and advanced to the national finals. Motivated, he continued writing short stories until his Dutch teacher suggested he send his stories to a publisher. As a result, Arne, in collaboration with publisher Boekscout, released his first book, titled “Elkalla.”
